- Ward off Mosquitoes- Bundle sage together and burn it over your fire. The scent of the sage will help ward off mosquitoes.
- Create an Instant Lantern- Using an empty milk or water jug; wrap a head light around the jug, so the light is facing inside the bottle.
- Protect Your Toilet Paper– To prevent your toilet paper from getting crushed or wet, use a coffee can to protect it. Simply pop the toilet paper into the can and cut a small slit down the side to run the paper out of.
- Fire Starter– Cotton balls that are soaked in petroleum jelly are an easy and fast way to start a proper campfire or BBQ.
- Combat Itchiness- Rubbing deodorant on any itch bug itch will help cease the itch.
- Simple Coffee- Be sure to have your morning cup of coffee but placing a scoop of coffee grounds into a filter and tie it up with dental floss. Simply brew it like a bag of tea, when you’re ready.
- Kindle the Fire- Corn chips, especially Doritos, are a great way to kindle a fire. Be sure to use with caution.
- Keep Food Cold- Add frozen gallon jugs of water to your cooler as ice packs. Consider freezing other items, like pasta sauce or pancake batter, and thaw out when you’re ready to consume them.
- Conserve Soap– Use a vegetable peeler to make single use soap shavings, in order to help not waste soap.
