The Z1 Machine is the sleep apnea patient’s ideal travel companion. It’s small, lightweight, easy to get through airport security, and it won’t steal your armrest. Traveling with any CPAP machine can be a daunting idea, but with the right preparation and organization, it can be no more stressful than traveling with an extra pair of shoes.

Here are some essentials for traveling with the Z1.

Extra battery modules – If for some reason you run into an emergency where you can’t recharge, you’ll be able to get through a night or two with extra batteries.

For longer trips, take along a backup power supply (either a cord or Powershell). The DC adapter is great for car trips as it allows you to recharge your battery in your car’s cigarette lighter.

For trips to other countries, be sure to carry travel adapters with you. It’s important that you can fit your Z1 power cord into the varying electrical sockets of the world. (It’s smart to look for a kit with a voltage converter as well.)

An extension cord never hurt, either – if the only outlet in your hotel room isn’t near your bed, you’ll be glad you threw in an extra cord.

When compared to most CPAP machines, the required equipment for traveling with the Z1 is significantly less in quantity, size, and weight.
